Where to live in Phuket
Most buyers have never heard of Bang Tao, Rawai or Thalang – and that's fine. Tap an area on the map to see what it's like to live there, who it suits and how far it is from the airport. Then I'll show you the villas I have there.

Phuket's quiet north, next to the airport and Sirinat National Park. Long, empty beaches, big resorts and very little traffic. Everyday shopping is a short drive away.
A small, quiet bay between Nai Yang and Layan, with a sandy beach framed by green hills and sea-view villas on the hillside. Just a handful of restaurants, and far from the crowds.
The quiet northern end of Bang Tao Bay, surrounded by hills and national park. Some of Phuket's most exclusive villas, with Bang Tao's restaurants and shops only minutes away.
Phuket's favourite area for villa living. A 6 km beach, the Laguna resort area with golf, Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket for shopping and dining, and international schools close by. Strong rental demand makes it popular with investors.
Two smaller, stylish beaches between Bang Tao and Patong. Beach clubs, sea-view hills and a relaxed village feel, with easy access to both the north and the busier south.
Phuket's busiest beach town, full of shops, restaurants and nightlife. Great for a night out, but most villa buyers prefer to live in a quieter area and visit.
Wide, family-friendly beaches with good restaurants and a laid-back feel. Surf in the green season, calm water in the high season, and beautiful sunsets.
The southern tip of Phuket. Nai Harn beach and lake, Promthep Cape, fresh seafood and a friendly international community. More local and relaxed than the west coast, with good-value land.
Central south Phuket around Chalong Bay, with the marina and boats to the islands, the Big Buddha and everything you need for daily life. Well placed between Rawai, the beaches and Phuket Town.
The island's centre for business, the main hospitals, big shopping malls and the colourful Old Town. Ko Kaeo, just north, is close to leading international schools and the Boat Lagoon marina.
A green valley between Patong and Phuket Town with several golf courses. Central, quiet and quick to reach both the west coast and town.
Green hills, lakes and larger plots in the middle of the island, only 10–15 minutes from Bang Tao. You get more villa and more garden for your money, close to the airport and the north-west beaches.
